Overview
T5z Pro, Harbor Blue
Newly redesigned with a host of comfort-focused enhancements and refined visual elements, the T5z Pro in Harbor Blue offers a truly unmatched range of musical utility in an unforgettable aesthetic package. This thinline hollowbody electric-acoustic hybrid guitar features a lightweight Urban Ash body with a figured Big Leaf maple top yields a rich, resonant tone. The T5z's real sonic magic comes from a concealed neck humbucker, a visible humbucker in the middle position and a built-in acoustic body sensor controlled with five-way switching and active tone circuitry placed for easy access while playing, allowing you to shift between lush acoustic sounds and searing electric leads on the fly. Along with the slender, fast-playing neck and jumbo frets, this T5z model boasts beautifully contoured edges and an integrated armrest on the upper body edge, creating a seamless playing experience that lets you explore a wide range of musical territory with ease. And with its beautiful Harbor Blue top with a shaded edgeburst, it's sure to stand out wherever you take it.
Features
Shamel Ash
Sourced from city trees in need of removal, Shamel ash produces midrange power and balance comparable to Honduran mahogany.
Big Leaf Maple
Though mostly known as a body wood, maple offers a dry, midrange-centric tone profile when used as a soundboard.
Venetian Cutaway
The Venetian cutaway is known for its soft, round lines. The sloping peak of the cutaway will vary depending on the shape of the body.

The Perfect Hybrid Acoustic
I looked hard for a hollowbody that played like an electric but still had great tone unplugged, without being loud enough to bother the neighbors, and this is the perfect guitar for my needs. The forearm contour on the T5z Pro is super comfortable, and the Sweetwater exclusive Grape Vine finish is gorgeous.
Running the acoustic pickup only it does sound a little thin (not shocking), but that's correctable with effects. The electric pickups provide a nice, crisp tone that's a great counterpoint to the EMGs in my solid bodies, and the gloss finish on the neck plays faster than my ESP/LTDs. The neck profile is a good match for ESP's Thin U neck. It doesn't sound like a metal guitar, but it plays like one, and that's precisely what I was looking for.
I could not be happier with this guitar, and will be keeping it in the stable forever.
