Overview
K68e LTD
As one of our very first 12-string guitars built with V-Class bracing in the jumbo-style Grand Orchestra body shape, the K68e LTD offers a totally distinctive playing experience elevated by its gorgeously figured Hawaiian koa back, sides and top. Serving up big, lush, sparkling octave shimmer with a refined midrange character, this model benefits from the large lung capacity of the Grand Orchestra body, which yields serious projection and tonal depth with remarkable sensitivity to a soft touch, while our V-Class bracing dials up louder volume, longer sustain and cleaner harmony between notes. This model is appointed with wood-forward elements such as maple body binding, a single-ring maple rosette and an intricate Spring Vine inlay in maple. Other appointments include ultra-precise Gotoh 510 tuners in antique gold and a gloss-finish body with a shaded edgeburst.

Does this model have a thinner neck like the 858e?
Both the K68e and 858e had our standard carve neck and 1 7/8" nut width.
I have a general question about 12 strings... I know that usually the high octave strings come before the standard strings, but is there any reason why a 12 string should not be strung with the standard string first, followed by the octave string? I'm wondering if the grooves in the nut will be made larger when a heavier gauge string is lying against it rather than the much smaller octave string. If so, is that a bad thing? As always, thx for your reply.

Stringing the guitar either way is fine. We set up the 652ce Builder's Editions with reverse-strung setup (with the heavier string on top of each pair) and all other 12 strings (including the K68e LTD) have the heavier string on the bottom of each pair. Thanks!

I imagine this Taylor Guitar sounds as sweet and strong as it looks!
This Taylor Koa 12-string is absolutely gorgeous! Whoever set up the strings missed something... On the g strings, the high g string seems to be in the same nut groove with one or both of the b strings. A little blurry there to tell for sure on my phone. Probably not a big issue... I bet it still sounds like a Taylor!...😁✔️ Sweet and Rich!! 💖

Hi Sam, Glad to hear you're loving your new Taylor 12 string! Each string should be resting in it's own nut slot so realign those if they're off and you'll be set. Sorry about that.

KOA 12-string
I have the K66ce, the same 12-string in KOA wood but in the cut away model. I would not trade it for anything because it has the most mellow tones. It sounds like several guitars at once. The perfect guitar to have. I put all my other guitars in the closet and only play this one.
