Watch Video

Among Taylor's most popular models and one of the best-selling U.S.-made acoustic guitars on the market, the 314ce offers a quintessentially Taylor experience with all-solid tonewoods and an accommodating feel. This Grand Auditorium boasts back and sides of solid sapele paired with a Sitka spruce top, producing a punchy, shimmering midrange with a warm, woody low-end character to balance its vibrant trebles. Our V-Class bracing architecture adds a boost to power and sustain, and the always-comfortable Taylor neck makes for a smooth feel for any playing style. With a firestripe pickguard and crisp white binding adding a touch of visual style to its workhorse personality, plus ES2 electronics and a hardshell case, the 314ce is the ultimate Swiss-army-knife guitar.

Features

Grand Auditorium

Our flagship shape offers comfort and cross-genre utility, with a clear, balanced tone suited for both fingerstyle and strumming.

Sapele

Balanced and consistent across the frequency spectrum. Punchy midrange similar to mahogany with more top-end presence.

Spruce

The most common top wood between Sitka, Adirondack and Engelmann varieties. Bold, clear, and dynamic sound suits any playing style.

Expression System® 2

The Expression System® 2 captures more of a guitar’s dynamic properties using a breakthrough behind-the-saddle design.

Venetian Cutaway

The Venetian cutaway is known for its soft, round lines. The sloping peak of the cutaway will vary depending on the shape of the body.

V-Class Bracing

Our patented V-Class bracing is a revolutionary new pattern — a new sonic engine — that marks a major shift away from traditional steel-string bracing patterns.

The great Taylor 314 ce

5 out of 5 stars Choll

When it was time to buy an acoustic guitar, I had a certain budget. So I start to shop for sound first, like probably all guitar players. So, with the salesman, I compare Gibson J-45, Martin D-28 and the Taylor 314ce. After a few hours listening, my final choice for the Taylor 314ce it have clear high frequencies, good basse and electric pickup all what I need and extra input for recording.
