What part of the serial # tells the year the Guitar was made.? Thanks,  Darel

Best answer Josh M. Taylor Guitars staff

For newer guitars, the year would be the 2nd and 7th digit. Example for 2024 x2xxxx4xxx.

Absolutely love this guitar, up to every standard that Taylor has set! Very versatile and the wood is beautiful 😍! As a person who almost fainted at the price, it is worth every penny and can't wait for the years to come playing this guitar!

My New Soulmate Guitar

5 out of 5 stars Colin N.

I have always wanted a high quality acoustic guitar, but I never bought one until recently. I tried out Taylors and Martins in my local music store, and kept coming back to this Sunburst beauty. The looks, the sound, and most importantly the playing feel is exactly what I have always wanted. Having played budget guitars for most of my life that were ok, but not very inspiring, this Taylor inspires me to keep playing and playing. Amplified or not, the note clarity and overall tone is exceptional. It isn't overly bright nor bass heavy. Just clear note articulation for chords or single note runs. The feel of the neck is perfect for my fretting hand, as if it was crafted just for me. I absolutely love this guitar. Well done Taylor. You have made this guitar player very, very happy. 👍

Taylor 214ce-K SB Plus

5 out of 5 stars Steven M.

Never touched a Taylor before a couple weeks ago. Friend brought one into work, ran my finger across the strings once. The sustaine was very impressive. Looked at a couple down in Mrytle Beach. Didn't have any that were not marked up one way or the other. Ordered a new one. Took it out of the case, action was low and was in tune right out the box. This guitar was very well set up. I'm almost teetering a step up from beginer, but was able to do the dreaded F Chord almost perfect. I highly recommend this guitar. Have not found anything i did not like about this guitar. The Aero case is plush and very sturdy. Was going to replace it with hard side case. But no need to. The sound is warm and rich. I have a few other guitars, but I only touch the Taylor now. I think what would really make this guitar pop in appearance would be the gold hardware. I already purchased the gold Taylor tuners and gild truss cover screws. Just waiting on a string change and custom truss rod cover to arrive. If you have a chance to try one of these, you will not be disappointed.

Great guitar highly recommend

5 out of 5 stars Natalie P.

I purchased this guitar back in May and I could not be happier. It has a bright sound and the ES2 is great for plugging in and playing with a band. I honestly haven’t put this guitar down since I purchased it because it just sounds that great. It’s also fun to play for longer sets since the neck is smaller. A bonus to the sound is the look of the guitar. It’s an eye catcher. I get compliments all the time on how it looks since I play on the worship team every Sunday. Overall, highly recommend this guitar. It sounds great, it’s fun, easy to play, and an eye catcher.

Great guitar

5 out of 5 stars James C.

After trying many Martin GP series I ended up having to settle with the Taylor 214ce -K Plus at guitar center. Have not picked up my HD28 since I brought the Taylor home. Fantastic! Sounds great , plays easy! Wow ! Unbelievable guitar that at first I thought I had to settle. Great workmanship and sound . So impressed with this Taylor of which I’ve always been a Martin fan. Taylor has changed my mind on quality, sound and playability! Great guitar. What more can I say.
