Overview

212ce

With its compact Grand Concert body and solid-wood top, the 212ce offers a remarkably comfortable, accommodating experience for players of all skill levels. Layered walnut back and sides and a solid torrefied spruce top generate plenty of projection for any musical application, with our special roasting process adding a touch of aged-in warmth and sweetness. The slightly shorter scale length of the Grand Concert shape, paired with the slender Taylor neck profile, make for a relaxed, intimate feel that's especially inviting to fingerstyle players while still offering enough power for flatpickers and strummers. And with the built-in ES2 electronics, you're guaranteed clear, faithful tone whenever you need to plug in.

212ce torrified spruce/walnut.

5 out of 5 stars James R.

I’ve had my 212ce guitar for three months and have been playing it daily. It is a perfect size for me and is incredibly easy to play. It sounds great. Very happy with the guitar and it is the one I grab to play the most.

Well balanced sound. Enough projection without being “boomy”. Warm and sustaining.

Nice guitar

4 out of 5 stars Zac Z.

I like the light weight, balance, size and general sound and resonance of this. It is quite a playable guitar and came fairly well set up at the start. Plugged in sounds good. As far as guitars go it isn't particularly expensive. It's not fancy. It came with a nice backpacker semi hard case that is great for moving it about. I've been using it in my mobile tutoring work.
The only negative thing for me is that it is not holding tune particularly well so I am considering upgrading machineheads or looking into whether strings are binding at the nut.
Music is my job and it won't cut it live if doesn't stay in tune so well. I have other guitars that have proven to be great tools that work consistently well and stay in tune better. I'll be doing more live work later this year and next year and at this point I'm not confident that it is the best guitar for the job of live music.
