Overview

150ce

A great 12-string playing experience starts with a comfortable neck. That puts the Taylor 150ce ahead of the pack, with a slender neck profile that's accommodating to all types of players and makes it easy to hold notes and chords. A solid spruce top delivers a satisfyingly textured 12-string tone, clear and balanced with a rich low-end response thanks to the Dreadnought body style. With a dynamic sound that boasts plenty of volume as well as a pleasing soft-touch response, it's easy to see why the Taylor 150ce is one of the world's most popular 12-string guitars for budget-minded players.

What is the nut & saddle string spacing for this 12-string guitar: Taylor 150ce?

Best answer Glen W. Taylor Guitars staff

1 5/8" at the nut, 2 3/8" at the saddle.

Does this guitar have a dual-action truss rod? When set up properly with correct relief, what is the specified height of strings at the 12th fret in mm?

Anthony W.

Best answer Glen W. Taylor Guitars staff

The truss rod is not dual action, there's relief in the neck when loosened so that's not necessary. String height at the 12th fret is 6/64" on the bass side and 4/64" on the treble.

In February 2023 I bought in Germany the 12-string Taylor 150-e and so far I am very happy with that great guitar and it’s sound. My question is what was the original type and thickness of strings supplied by Taylor at that time? Today, I changed the strings to Elixir in thickness 10 , and since then there is some unpleasant snaring of the strings. Thus I want to get back the original strings to my guitar.

DerLiebeUli

Best answer Glen W. Taylor Guitars staff

We installed a 10-47 12 string set. Try making a truss rod adjustment if it was playing fine before, the neck relief may have changed while restringing.

I bought this guitar a month ago and can’t put it down. It plays effortlessly and sounds fantastic. I had no idea there was a 12 string on the market of such high quality for such a low price. I just happened to run across it at Ernie Williamson music in Shawnee KS and after playing it for five minutes I was hooked. I also have a Taylor 814ce and I love them both. Keep up the good work.

Great 12 string guitar!

5 out of 5 stars MACv1

This instrument is made with excellent craftsmanship. Comparable use of elements to much more expensive Taylor guitars like: Ebony, Torrefied spruce, Expression 2 electronics, etc. plays and sounds fantastic and the price is very reasonable.

I love Taylor guitars.

Awesome sound and action. Easy to play for a 12 string. Some of the frets seem to be be hanging out just a little though.

Response from Taylor Guitars, Josh M.

We’re thrilled you’re enjoying the sound and playability of your 12-string! If some of the frets feel like they’re sticking out a bit, please respond to us directly so we can take a closer look and let you know the best way to proceed. We're happy to help!

Outstanding value. Plays as easy as six-string while producing clear vibrant sound I usually associate with more expensive instruments. No “buzz” even when fretting high on the neck or using a capo. The electronics are excellent as well, though it would be nice if the knobs were labeled as to function.

I couldn’t be more pleased with my purchase and wholeheartedly recommend it.

Just bought the 12 string sounds and plays beautifully. The bag seems very durable and has lots of pockets which is nice to have.
