What’s the difference between the 112ce and the 112ce -S ?
No difference. The 112ce-S is now known as the 112ce.
What is the total length of the 112ce?
40-1/2"
What is the width at the nut, and the scale length?
The nut is 1-11/16" and the scale length is 24-7/8".
What is the difference between the 112ce S and the 114ce ?
The body shape and scale length. The 114ce is a Grand Auditorium with a 25.5" scale. The 112ce is a Grand Concert with a shorter 24-7/8" scale.
When viewing body wood selections, there’s an entry for Layered Sapele and Sapele as two separate entries. The 112ce S does not show up when selecting Layered Sapele. Does this mean the 112ce S is solid Sapele and thus manufactured in El Cajon, CA?
It is constructed with Layered Sapele back and sides. All models 200 series and down have layered wood back and sides and are manufactured in our Tecate Mexico factory.

No. The top is solid. The back and sides are layered.

My New 112ce
I had a GS Mini... until I heard the 112ce. The build quality, the clarity, and robust sound just blew me away. The GS Mini is a great guitar, but the volume of this 112ce is amazing for its size.

Well Done Taylor.
Been playing fingerstyle for 30 plus years. I was looking for a "travel" guitar with electronics and a cutaway that wouldn't break the bank. My other guitar is a custom boutique 00 sized beauty, also with a short scale. That one stays at home. Due to the customary Taylor playing experience, the smaller nut width works fine for me and I'm not small at 6'3." In fact, this guitar frets easier than my other that costs a few thousand dollars. Fit and finish are flawless. I believe mine came with a smoked eucalyptus fretboard and bridge. That works too. I suffered a right rotator cuff injury that makes playing a dreadnought impossible for longer jams. This little one doesn't know it's small. Really barks with a sweet openness due to design and that pretty torrified top. In summation, a "torrific" instrument. Thanks Taylor.

Mellow sound, good body resonance, low action, comfortable size
I’ve played guitar off and on all my life. I’ve owned both electric and acoustic guitars. I wanted to upgrade to a guitar that sounded the way I wanted, had a low action for easy playing and had a cutout in the body for easier fretting in the higher registers.
I test played the 112ce for a while at my local dealer and I was sold. Went back the next day and bought it. I can’t be happier with it.
